13 Things About Me:

1. I am a tattoo artist/body piercer.
2. I don't leave the house without my eyeliner.
3. My granddad always encouraged me to draw and I owe him everything. I love him and I miss him every single day.
4. I love all things dark and spooky... and all things cute and fluffy :3
5. I love horror, but am a little desensitised to it. When I was a little kid, my mum used to put horror movies on tv if I refused to go to bed.
6. Lydia Deetz was my childhood idol.
7. I NEED to go to Japan... NOW!
8. I would tell you how many tattoos I have... but I lost count a very long time ago.
9. I'm very shy. Like, painfully shy.
10. All my heroes are villains.
11. I believe in ghosties and have had several 'paranormal' experiences.
12. Most of my early crushes were cartoon characters. Aladdin was a babe.
13. For someone that loves creepy stuff, my list of phobias is ridiculously long. And stupid.

Penny Dreadful: A Victorian Lunatic is hugely delayed... again. I've been so busy at work everyday and have had little to no time to work on it at all. It's an awful shame that I need to sleep at night... *shakes fist angrily*

My first journal entry, how exciting

Okay, I have begun work on re-vamping and creating new strips for a comic I made 4 years ago. It's called
Penny Dreadful: A Victorian Lunatic
I'd forgotten all about it! I'm so excited that it's finally coming together! And I cannot wait to start sharing them on DA.

It's about Penny (obviously) a wayward Victorian girl who really doesn't think she's insane, but she really REALLY is. It follows her escape from the asylum, and the adventures she has thereafter.
The artwork is a mix of anime and Tim Burton/Roman Dirge style characters.
It features cameos from Jack The Ripper, Sweeney Todd and Mrs. Lovett, and Penny's love interest, August, a crazed hat maker driven mad from mercury poisoning (yeah,yeah, he's pretty much The Mad Hatter from the Alice books, but I couldn't resist a nod to one of my all time favorite books of the era!)

The comic is a tribute to my love of horror, gore, comedy and the Victorian era (even if, historically, it's often a little innacurate)

I hope that, once complete and posted on here, everyone will enjoy my creepy creation. I truly do.
